As Lead Environment Artist I was responsible for tracks and the environment they exist in. My main involvement for these environments was setting up the specfication and benchmarks for modelling and texturing the tracks and buildings. Setting up the pipeline in which to build a track from nothing to a finished environment.
I provided daily feedback on the progress of each track to the individual environment artists helping to improve the visuals where ever possible and also keep the project on time.
Across all tracks I have contributed with textures, models and lighting in varying degrees to help the artists complete the tracks on time and to the required quality. Some tracks I looked after entirely myself whilst managing the others.
The surface shaders were created under my direction with the Graphics Programmer and used on each environment by the artists as per my direction and benchmark examples.
The environment lighting was handled mainly by the Lighting Artist backed up by direction, feedback and hands on work from myself.
